Hi! My name is Carla. I live in a small house on a friendly street in beautiful Northern California. I share my crazy life with an awesome husband (Jason), sweet little boys (Jude, Ronan, and Silas), one kitty, and assorted chickens. This blog is a place for me to share my adventures in crafting, cooking, gardening, mothering, decorating, and more. I am a modern homemaker: someone who works hard to craft a home by hand, raise a family in a mindful way, and be a good steward to the earth. That said: I also work part-time, wad up fitted sheets, and spend too much of my day "managing" plastic toys. I do my best to live simply, which is not to be confused with easy.
My hope is that you will use the recipes, tutorials, and DIY projects found here as inspiration for your own modern homemaking adventures.
