I know it's extremely cliche, but holy smokes do they grow up too fast! And with baby number two the rate of growth seems to be exponential. With Jude I remember feeling that crazy mix where the day would pour out before me slower than molasses and the weeks would magically fly. With Ronan? I'm wishing I had a few molasses moments. So rare is our one on one time (save the many night wakenings) I feel like he's growing up at lightning speed. I just want to hit pause. But since life goes on whether you're ready or not, I'll just have to find a way to cope. Lots of pictures help. And taking a moment to document all of that amazing change here gives me a little solace. So today I present you with a Ronan Sky update. (Let's not even talk about the fact that Jude River will be in Kindergarten next year, I'm not sure my heart can take it!)
Ronan is five months old and pretty darn amazing. He sits on his own, although after a minute or so he needs a spotter. He rolls over (and rolls as a mode of transportation), plus lots of scooting and push-ups, but thankfully no crawling yet. He started eating solid foods and loves them! His favorites are avocado, sweet potato, banana, and carrots. He seems to be working really hard at getting teeth, but so far he's got nothing to show for it. He totally sucks at sleeping, but he rules at smiling, laughing, and talking. His brother is his favorite person on earth and he adores being outside. He is the perfect addition to our family. We couldn't possibly love him more.
Here's to the fleeting joy of babyhood.
