I love the idea of kids proudly declaring their love for dear old dad. This shirt is of course ideal for Father's Day, but can easily be worn year round. To make these shirts with an iron on: first Download Rad Dad Iron On, then print (scale 100% for a kid's tee and 50% for a onesie) on iron transfer paper
To create these with a freezer paper stencil: Download Rad Dad Freezer Paper Stencil, print (scale 100% for a kid's tee and 50% for a onesie) on standard paper and follow these instructions for stenciling. Note: after placing the main stencil piece you will need to add the centers of the letters - I just eyeballed them and ironed them down.

Want to make these the super easy way? Get yourself the Cricut Explore™! When I went to ALT I had the pleasure of attending a dinner hosted by Handmade Charlotte and Cricut. Not only is Rachael as cool as you imagine her in real life, the Cricut people are beyond nice. How nice you say? Well let's see ... they gave me a Cricut Explore™ machine!!! This little project was the perfect excuse to learn how to use it. This bad boy rocks! Not only can it cut just about anything, including fabric and even leather, it is super easy to use. It reminds me of an Apple product, sleek and intuitive. You basically turn it on, hook it up to your computer, and start making. I haven't had a chance to explore all of the cool designs and projects, but I did figure out how to use my own file to create these shirts and man oh man does it make freezer paper stenciling a cinch!
To make this with the Cricut: Download Rad Dad File, start a new project in the Cricut Design Space™, upload the file (vector), weld the layers, adjust your size, place your freezer paper shiny side down on the cutting mat and cut! Now the hard part has been done for you and it's time to move on to the fun part: making your shirt (see details above)!
