I'd first like to say that I know the transition from one boy to two will not be without it's challenges. I'm sure Jude will have rough days; I'm sure we all will. But I just can't get over how sweet and excited Jude has been about being a big brother. I just had to record some of the adorable things I've overheard when he talks to the baby.
"Good morning baby, did you have sweet dreams?" This is often followed by a cute and imaginative one-sided conversation.
"Do you want to play?" Often followed by "Mom, the baby wants to play so have to do it for him."
Lots of singing. One day he decided the baby could hear much better if he sang into my throat. I sat there mouth wide open, cracking up, while he sang a rousing version of the ABC's.
And the heart-melter of all time, whispered softly, "Um, baby? I just want you to be proud of me. I am so proud of you in the whole world."
Here's to brotherly love.
