I am excited to introduce you to a new program sponsored by Folgers called The Best Part that is all about spreading positivity. And we all know after my last Debbie-downer post, I can use all the good vibes I can get. With The Best Part your social media feeds will have an extra dose of feel-good stories, uplifting quotes, and positive images. It's not about selling coffee, it's about spreading smiles. You can follow The Best Part on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. From there it is easy to share the optimism and when optimism is shared, it grows, leaving a positive mark on the world.
The Best Part for me? I get to help create happy content. Today I'd like to share a great quote I discovered on Pinterest. "Optimist: Someone who figures that taking a step backward after taking a step forward is not a disaster, it's more like a cha-cha."
I love this because it is such a wonderful reminder. Being optimistic doesn't mean you don't have a bad day, it means you don't let a bad day equal a bad life.
I took a huge step forward when I graduated college. I had achieved my biggest goal to date and was so excited for what the future held. When the future included a step back in the from of a corporate job that I was qualified for but truly hated I did a little cha-cha. I ended up following a completely different path, one that didn't require my hard earned college degree but left me fulfilled, happy, and beautifully prepared for my favorite job to date: being a mom. My post college career was that of a professional nanny. Life is full of unexpected twists but a good dancer follows the music and stays on her feet.
Here's to dancing through life!
