Okay, I'm not sure if this counts for KCWC, but I did sew on a pocket, so I'm going with it. Here's the story: I ordered this pack of white t-shirts for Jude to wear in the warm weather. However, when they arrived they were a really weird shape, super short, and extra wide. I went to return them and good old Amazon told me to just keep them, for free! I love free stuff. I washed them in hot water, and it helped the fit a bit. Then, when I was dying terry cloth for another KCWC project, I decided to try my hand at tie dying stripes; after all, I had nothing to lose. I was so happy with the results that I decided to borrow a style trick from Zara and add a black pocket and roll up the sleeves.
From a plain white tee, to a stylin' striped shirt, not a bad transformation ... if I do say so myself.
Jude love's his "easter egg" shirt. Although, the jury's still out on the tiny pocket.
I promise I am doing actual sewing this week, I just don't have anything else to share yet. Soon...I promise. Hooray for KCWC! Have you seen all the amazing stuff in the flickr group? Wow!
On a totally unrelated note, has anyone seen my baby? He seems to have turned into a big boy over night.
Happy Sewing!
