During the last weeks of 2011, I found I had composed a mental list of resolutions so long and disparate that it was absurd. I wanted to write in my gratitude journal every night, floss regularly, do yoga at least four times a week, swear off sugar, save money, organize everything; oh, the ambitious over-improving went on and on ... then I realized what I really need to do is cut loose. So I have a New Years Resolution I'm pretty sure I can keep:
In 2012 I resolve to laugh more. I plan to let go, goof off, and seek the humor in life's challenges. I plan to crack up, and I'm starting with the Portlandia marathon on my DVR.
Here's to a new year, full of possibilities, ripe with laughter.
Happy 2012!
