This year I decided to follow my own advice (and copy Cory) and skip the traditional holiday card. I present to you our paperless greeting:
(if you would like a paper greeting please click on the above picture and print)
The short and sweet version:
This year flew by as we watched our bouncing baby become a talkative toddler. We hope this greeting finds you in good health and happy spirits. Wishing you and yours peace, joy, and love this holiday season.
All our love, Jason, Carla, and Jude
The extended version:
Jude has grown by leaps and bounds this year (as little ones tend to do). He is officially a toddler: curious, strong-willed, and sweet. He talks a blue streak and is totally diaper free during the day. His favorite activities include reading, playing, "loving" (and occasionally "riding") the cat, helping mom in the kitchen and garden, building forts and duplos with dad, anything that involves being outside or spending time with his doting grandparents, aunts, and extensive entourage.
Carla has turned homemaking into an adventure, one that she loves so much that she blogs about it. When she isn't cooking, sewing, gardening, etc. She continues to help run the family plumbing business, with Jude in tow. She loves Jude so much it hurts, and motherhood is really treating her right.
Jason is now a plumbing expert, running large commercial jobs and bringing home the bacon, as it were. He continues to read voraciously and write occasionally. That is when he isn't improving the house or building something for Jude. He is an amazing, loving, and incredibly involved father.
We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Sending lots of love, Jason, Carla, and Jude
P.S. - If you enjoyed the extended version, please consider stopping by more often, I post regular family updates and lots of Jude pictures!
To my blog friends:
Thank you so much for your readership and loyal commenting, it means so much to me and my family. I hope that your holiday is everything you want it to be and more. And I hope you have some time to relax. I am forcing myself to at least try to chill, and I invite you to join me. For the next couple of weeks I will be here only occasionally and with no words, just a few pictures. I'm calling it *merry moments*, if you post your own moments please link up in the comments. And please excuse the relative peace and quiet around Small & Friendly. Wishing you comfort and joy!
Love from my home to yours, Carla
